Many of you have seen the little tab sticking out from under the backside of the pros helmets and wondered what it was. Well it is the Helmet Eject System by Shock Doctor.
The system whose use is required by all racers competing in any Monster Energy Supercross or Lucas Oils National event. The same technology used by the pros can now be used by you as well.
The system is actually quite simple consisting of a small bladder that sits inside the top of your helmet. In fact it is so small it doesn’t interfere with the fit at all. After a crash the bladder is easily inflated by trained EMT/first responders by using a squeeze bulb or CO2 cartridge, lifting the helmet from your head reducing the risk of further aggravating any potential neck injury. (*EMT/first responders must be trained on proper use of the Eject System.)
In an effort to get the information regarding the Eject System’s information to the riding public Shock Doctor has created a special website where you can get everything in one place. The website is http://www.ejectsafety.com/
From this website you can get all of your questions answered regarding the use of the system as well as a dealer locator and shopping cart where you can get your own Eject System.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio takes its critically acclaimed iPod® digital docking system to the next level with the release of the KICKER iK501 Digital Stereo System. The new iK501 now certifiably works with iPhone,™ along with iPhone 3G and all 4th-generation or newer iPod media players. Another new feature is composite video output, allowing the user to play video from the unit to larger screens. The iK501 will begin shipping to Authorized KICKER Dealers in mid-July, and can also be purchased at shop.kicker.com.
Still portable and still loud, the iK501 iKICK™ still features the outrageous, square-shaped reflex subwoofer on the back of the unit, along with a pair of five-inch woofers and silk-dome tweeters. It’s all juiced by a powerful internal amplifier with digital signal processing for the richest, best-sounding docking system available.
Dig deeper into DSP with the thin infrared remote, fully featured to fine-tune the iPod or iPhone’s music and video content. It helps to navigate with ease through the iK501 system menu, adjusting bass, treble, and aux-in options, as well as through the iPod or iPhone’s menus and sub-menus. Skip forward and back, fast-forward and back, play and pause, volume, mute, and power on/off selections have their own buttons too.
The rotary knob manually serves as the power and selection push button, and controller for bass, treble, auxiliary-input options, or standby mode. Standby will continue to charge the iPod or iPhone even when the system is powered down. In the dark, the knob is back-lit in blue and the display LCD screen continues to steer the user easily through the menu.
A minijack input allows a hookup for stereo sound from alternate media, including other MP3 or compact-disc players, desktop and laptop computers, or satellite radio. RCA stereo outputs allow for even more alternative audio hookup. A two-foot auxiliary cable, integrated carrying handle, AC power cord and 22-volt power supply add up to complete a convenient and enjoyable entertainment experience.
KICKER performance audio systems and SoundGate® auto integration products, divisions of Stillwater Designs and Audio, Inc.®, are available for the mobile and home audio aftermarket at authorized dealers worldwide, and also through selected Original Equipment Manufacturers. Consumers needing more information on KICKER, SoundGate, or Livin’ Loud® may call the Consumer Information Line at 1-800-256-5425 or visit brand Web sites at www.kicker.com or www.soundgate.com.

This is what they’re saying about the new KICKER iK500 Docking System for iPod:
“If you’re looking for the ultimate iPod speaker dock, look no further than the iK500.”
- TechEBlog.com
“…you can crank up the volume to outrageous levels—like the peak of iPod Hi-Fi’s—without profound distortion. At a high
volume, iKICK continues to sound very good, particularly on the low end.”
- ilounge.com
“It’s a modern ghetto blaster that really kicks! The iK500 is one mean and loud iDock station in a compact and easy-to-operate
package. It features unique styling and the baddest performance. If you are looking for a way to really rock out with your favorite
iPod music, then you should really check out the KICKER iK500.”
- Performance Auto and Sound Magazine, July 2008
“With its iK500 …the company best known for car stereos breaks into home entertainment. It will make all other iPod docks and
even some home stereos sound like Fisher-Price cassette decks. Stop playing and get updated.”
– KING Magazine, October 2008
“The iKICK iK500 is exactly what I want an iPod speaker system to be: a simple, straightforward device that provides clear,
precise sound at near earthquake-inducing levels.”
- PCWorld.com, August 2008
“I really like the way the iKICK looks. Design isn’t something I usually concern myself with, though if a product looks good sitting
on a shelf I find myself smiling on the inside. If you’re looking for loud, gorgeous sound then look no further than the KICKER
iK500 Powered iPod Speaker System.”
- Shelly T., 31, Detroit
“Volume goes to 40 on the dial, but I doubt you’d ever push it past 20. I’ve got a $1,500 stereo system in the living room, and this
summer the KICKER will make me feel like I brought it outside. The bass is unbelievable!”
- Alan H., Mass.
“I listened to about 10 stereos like this and this is the only one that had full sound without any distortion.”
- Anthony, Kansas
