Head of the Class RPMX 7/24/11

As the official photographer for Raceway Park motocross I get the opportunity to see a great deal of racing. This feature will point out my top rider in each class from the previous weekend. It may not always be the winner, sometimes it will be someone I saw charging or riding really well.
I will name a winner in the Youth, Novice, Amateur, Expert, and Vet class.

Tyler Carr

Tyler has really come into his own this season and has been showing impressive speed on both his 65 and 85. He won the 65cc 10-11 class on Sunday.

Raceway Park 5/22/11

Youth

Jeremy Smith

The top youth rider for the weekend was Jeremy Smith. The Supermini 12-16 and 85cc 12-15 class winner is a great rider to watch. A former BMX champions, Smith’s riding style keeps the power on the ground and moving forward. If you are on the fences during one of his motos I suggest you watch him in the back section of the track on the way to the pension road berm. Smith is a very exciting rider to watch and should be a front runner at Raceway Park for many years to come.

Novice

Joe Gluck

Joe Gluck

Gluck’s 2-3 moto finishes in the don’t really indicate how well he rode. Grabbing the holeshot in both motos Gluck led most of each moto before Erik Robbins got by for the win in each moto. A victory is right around the corner for this Raceway Park regular.

Amateur

Jesse Pierce

Jesse Pierce’s dominating performance in both Schoolboy classes have shown that he is one of the fastest schoolboy racers in the area.

Expert

Dakota Kessler

Dakota Kessler used this weekend as a warm up for the AMA Nationals this summer and showed he has the speed to compete at the top level. Kessler won all 4 motos he entered this weekend.

Vet

Joe Fritz

The man behind Hurricane Hills Raceway is always a supporter of Raceway Park and his 1-1 moto finishes in the 45+ class make him the Vet rider of the weekend.
