Series Statistics – On Site:
Despite the tough economy, our onsite live attendance has been up at every event over 2009. Fans have enjoyed increased VIP viewing platforms and better sight lines throughout the tracks. For 2010, as an added attraction for our fans, many tracks now allow open pits. Open pits allows our fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favorite riders and teams and to see the spectacular and colorful spectacle that is the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
2010 Attendance to date:
Hangtown: 20,500

In addition, the amateur racing programs, which take place both before and after the Saturday races, have seen significant jumps in attendance. Thus far, more than 3,500 family-oriented amateur riders have competed on the same weekend and on the same tracks as the top pro riders. Most of these participants will camp and spend the entire weekend at the track, while bringing various friends and family along as well.
Series Statistics – Internet:
One of our biggest draws for non-attending fans is our live and free showing of the first motos on AlliSports.com. These viewership numbers show that AMA Motocross has a dedicated worldwide fan base that tunes in each Saturday.
Motocross on AlliSports.com to date represents over 238,000 total streams and an average of 40,000 visits to the site each race day in order to view the live stream. Site traffic is up substantially as well, with users spending nearly 34 minutes on the site per visit.
MX Sports Pro Racing, in conjunction with Racer X Illustrated and AlliSports.com, also produces a series of weekly recap videos, which are designed to summarize the action and keep fans updated on the major happenings at each event. Hosted by Jason Weigandt and produced by Racer X‘s Matt Francis, these videos have proven to be very popular.
Also, the online viewership numbers do not reflect the series-related video content being produced by other media partners like Transworld Motocross, Vurb Moto, Vital MX, Cycle News, Racer X, and more.

Ronnie Faisst…Then and Now
Back in the early 90′s who would have thought that a young man from New Jersey would go on to become one of the elite athletes in Freestyle Motocross. The Mays Landing, NJ native took to motocross racing and at one time was one of the top riders in the Northeast winning at all of the popular local tracks like Raceway Park and Sleepy Hollow. After turning pro in 1995 and racing local Nationals and Supercrosses California was calling and in 1997 Faisst packed up his life and moved West. The Freestyle scene was just getting started and Faisst and his outgoing personality were a perfect fit. Touted as one of freestyle motocrosses pioneers Faisst connected with fellow motocrosser turned freestyler Brian Deegan and was one of the founding members of the famous Metal Mullisha.

Faisst has been an integral part of freestyle motocrosses rise to international recognition including all three years of Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huck Jam, the Vans Warped Tour and MTV’s Sports and Music Festival, Crusty Demons of Dirt World Tour, and the Dew Action Sports Tour and the all new Nuclear Cowboyz tour promoted by Feld Entertainment.

Today Faisst is still at the forefront of Freestyle Motocross as part of the Metal Mullisha and is taking part in the multi state tour of the all new Freestyle Motocross show, Nuclear Cowboyz. He also appears in ads for some of his major sponsors, MSR Racing, Rockstar Energy Drinks and DVS shoes to name just a few. Faisst still keeps his New Jersey roots close to his heart as evident by his NJ state tattoo in the middle of his chest.

The Latest on Lawrence
On of the most highly anticipated returns to racing at tonight’s Round 1 of the Monster Energy Supercross Series is that of New Jersey’s own Jason Lawrence.
Fresh out of his short time incarcerated a noticeably different looking J-law spoke with Transworld MX’s Donn Maeda in this 2 part interview series.
But it didn’t stop there as Transworld MX continued with photos of Jason at speed at the local Supercross track
as well as a follow up interview after Jason put a couple of days in getting ready for A1
as well as a behind the scenes video of the J-Law Racing race shop.
Racer X even got into the scene with this Simon Cudby video posted on their site last night.
Be sure to see how Jason does tonight on Speed with coverage starting live @ 10pm eastern time.

The End of an Era… Mr Cycle Parts Shuts Its Doors
On December 31st 2009 Mr Cycle Parts will close their doors forever. Many of today’s current crop on NJ motocross racers probably have never even heard of Mr Cycle Parts and it owner CZ Joe. Joseph Boguslawski has owned the cycle shop located on Throckmorton St in Freehold for 32 years. The, then 18 year old, motorcycle enthusiast opened the store in 1977 with very little funds but a hard work ethic and made the little shop a well known fixture to local racers. For several years Joe even set up shop each race day at Raceway Park in a little hut just behind the tower and was a big supporter of racing at Raceway Park.
After leaving the motocross world behind the shop continued to succeed in the same Freehold location. As Joe steps away to pursue other interests I for one am sorry to see him go.
Good Luck

Impress Your Sponsors with Full Color Banners
With the 2010 racing season just around the corner now is the time to set up your racing program. That means getting your bike, gear and pit area dialed in for maximum sponsor exposure. A professional and well organize pit area is crucial to sponsorship success.
One way to stand out from the next guy is with a banner listing your sponsors and showing you in action.
Where can I get such a great item??
Check out Impulse Graphx.
NJ motocross has worked with Jace Wade on a couple of projects including a couple of Loretta Lynn’s banners for Chris Duymich and Steve Moquin and a special get well banner for Jordan Jarvis.

Impulse Graphx is also the company responsible for the cool NJ motocross and Lukaitis Photos banners you see at the racetrack. These high quality custom printed vinyl banners are rugged enough for out door use but high enough resolution to see the photo quality. While you are getting one printed why not make a second to thank your favorite sponsor. The crystal clear grommeted corners are strong and long lasting so your banner will look great all season long.
With prices as low as $3.50 a square foot you can’t go wrong.
Check them out at the link below and don’t forget to tell them NJ Motocross sent you.

NJ Motocross @ Budds Creek
Several NJ motocross and Raceway Park regulars took the trip down I95 to Budd Creek Maryland this past weekend for the Lucas Oil National Motocross series. Here’s how they did:
250 Class
Adam Blessing
Adam was pitted under the J-Law racing tent this weekend but just missed out on making the main. He was 41st fastest.
Todd Stavac
Todd was out there having fun chasing the dream. Todd missed the cut but he’ll be back again next week.
450 class:
Ronnie Stewart
Ronnie has quietly begun making a name for himself on the national circuit. His 24th fastest qualifying time put him in front of big named riders like Jeff Alessi, Nick Wey and Factory Kawasaki rider Timmy Ferry. Ronnie went 29-24 for 28th overall.
Dakota Kessler
After setting the 5th fastest time in the first practice Dakota Kessler was a victim of a drying track that rewarded the second practice session with lower times. Kessler missed the cut and was 40th fastest in timed qualifying.
Anthony Roth
In his first ever national Anthony Roth was 45th fastest in timed qualifying.
Bryan Wallace
The time spent racing in Canada this summer has helped with his speed Bryan Wallace was 49th fastest in timed qualifying.
Ryan Gainey
After his top 5 finish in the Canadian mud this summer Ryan Gainey gave the AMA Nationals a shot. Ryan was 69th fastest in timed qualifying.
Although no longer a Raceway Park regular we still claim Jason Lawrence as a Jersey guy. J-Law qualified 10th and went 23-31 for 31st overall.
2-stroke Challenge
Although rain forced the cancellation of the moto 3 NJ riders were signed up for the 2-stroke invitational by FMF
Ryan Patterson, Rich Jarvis, and Anthony Fontana.
